During its run (2006-2013), MamaPop won several awards, including the Baltimore Sun Mobbie for Best Pop Culture Blog (2009).

In 2009, my business partner and I independently created and organized the “Sparklecorn” party at that year’s BlogHer conference in Chicago. It was so successful that BlogHer asked us to come aboard as consultants and throw the party in partnership with them every year from 2010-2012 (three conferences). Our responsibilities included coming up with the party’s theme, decor and entertainment, as well as selecting food and drink, organizing photography and video coverage, and sculpting the party’s overall look, feel, and spirit.
